RESOLUTION NO. 02-01
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAINTENANCE SUPERINTENDENTS ASSOCIATION
OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

| Whereas; The Maintenance Superintendents Association is an Association of Public Works Officials and Vendors since 1966, and |
| Whereas; The Maintenance Superintendents Association is made up of 2000 members from 15 chapters in the States of California, Nevada, Arizona, Oregon, Utah, and |
| Whereas; The Executive Board of Directors and the General Membership of the Maintenance Superintendents Association are now gathered together in San Diego, California for its Annual Conference and Equipment Show, and |
| Whereas; Our Public Works counterparts in the United States of America have been thrust into extensive emergency operations due to cowardly terrorists acts, and |
| Whereas; The Executive Committee and the General Membership of the Maintenance Superintendents Association desire to show its support and respect for the great and heroic deeds of our Public Works brothers and sisters in the Cities impacted by the terrorists' actions of September 11, 2001, and |
| Whereas; All members of the Public Works profession share the burden and sorrow of America. |
| NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Maintenance Superintendents Association (United States of America) hereby recognizes those great and heroic deeds of all Public Works Employees of those Cities stricken by the events of September 11, 2001, and |
| BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Maintenance Superintendents Association hereby supports any and all relief efforts for those Public Works employees in Cities hard hit by these events, as their physical, emotional and spiritually draining tasks have just begun, and |
| BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Maintenance Superintendents Association believes and supports the idea that all States, Districts, Counties and Cities should come together to provide support and backup by sharing their Public Works experience and expertise with our brothers and sisters in order to overcome this travesty as expeditiously as possible by lending our support as appropriate in the recovery operations. |
