Peter Cortopassi
2012 President

Welcome to 2012 my Maintenance Superintendent Association (MSA) Brothers and Sisters! I am Peter Cortopassi and I am very proud to represent the MSA as our Association President this year. We are giving, proud and strong!

We are giving with our efforts in Education and Training! We perform at all levels; safety reminders in the field, tailgate safety meetings, OSHA mandated training, specialized equipment and product training. We offer certified classes with contact hours from "Playground Safety and Pesticide Safety to Urban Forest Management and Storm Water Best Management Practices". We have developed College courses at three campuses (Citrus, Palomar and Santiago) and we now offer on-line classes at Pima College, all in "Public Works Supervision" with continuing education units.

We are proud of our dedication in stewardship! As Public Servants we take expert care of our Cities. We use the best techniques at the correct time with beautiful results! We are well educated and embrace our jobs with love and passion. We should be most proud of all of the scholarships we have granted over the organizations 45 years, we awarded 26 scholarships for over $20,000 last year alone!

We are strong because we develop our communication skills with our subordinates, peers and our Supervisors. We are strong because of our access to great training and relationships we develop in our monthly meetings. MSA has provided a variety of focused education opportunities and the measurable support of the vendor members providing us the latest information and training on equipment and product support.

We are better leaders because of the value of MSA education, training, networking and camaraderie in being Public Servants and Stewardship! We need to communicate this value to our neighbors, peers and our Upper Management. I am proud to serve as your President for 2012.
