GENERAL SERVICES SUPERVISOR– City of Monrovia, CA – Salary: $5,247 - $7,032 monthly depending on qualifications plus excellent benefits.
The City of Monrovia is looking for a unique individual to serve as our next General Services Supervisor. The General Services Supervisor reports to the Public Works Operations Manager.

This position will assist in a variety of projects, programs and operational functions associated with our General Services Operation. The overall operation is currently being further developed, and the selected candidate will be asked to help the City create a cohesive team of both City staff and contractor / consultant resources to ensure that our facilities, fueling, street lights, and traffic signals are well maintained. Typical duties associated with the role include, but are not limited to, the following:
§ Oversee the City’s motor fleet and fuel station operation including the maintenance and replacement of vehicles, including light and heavy duty and specialty equipment, and the operation and maintenance of a retail fuel station
§ Oversee the operations and maintenance of the City’s street lighting and traffic signals
§ Oversee the maintenance and improvement of all City facilities, including City Hall, Community Center and Library, Police, Fire and Maintenance Facilities, and other public facilities.
§ Assist in developing bid specifications and cost estimates for construction and maintenance projects, contract service providers, and materials and equipment
§ Manage and coordinate the work of assigned staff
§ Oversee contractor’s work ensuring compliance with City regulations and standards and manage contracts and agreements for services
§ Monitor work activities to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures and make recommendations for changes and improvements to existing standards and procedures
