    Maintenance Crew Supervisor

    Assigned to Traffic/Roads

    $6,222-$7,585 per month

    Duties: The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, prioritizing, supervising and participating in the work of crews responsible for the maintenance and repair of City traffic signals, traffic control, striping, bus shelter maintenance, street sweeping, weed abatement, traffic signs, graffiti removal, maintenance and repair of City Road Maintenance program. Assists in the development and implementation of the Division goals, objectives, programs, policies and procedures in accordance with regulations, requirements, and contracts. The incumbent will participate in the selection, orientation and training of new staff members; plan, organize, schedule and direct work of assigned staff; implement work plans; monitor, counsel, and evaluate staff performance in a timely manner; provide direction for performance improvement development and recommend appropriate disciplinary actions. Participates in the required Adjusted Workweek Program, 24-hour on call, and is available during emergencies, holidays, and weekends including the City’s After Hours On-Call and Surveillance Program and performs other related and peripheral duties as required and necessary for the successful job performance.

    Qualifications: Requires the equivalent of five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in traffic, street maintenance, operations and repair, including some lead supervisory experience or any combination of education and experience that has provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for satisfactory job performance.

    • Possession of, or ability to obtain within one (1) year of appointment:

    • International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA) Traffic Signal Field Technician Level II certification; and

    • IMSA Signs and Pavement Markings Technician Level I certification.
