The San Joaquin County Public Works Department is seeking a strong leader that will be responsible for supervising and coordinating public works maintenance projects. The Public Works Maintenance Manager reports to the Maintenance Superintendent and will ensure that assigned projects are completed in accordance with regulations, policies and requirements.
An ideal candidate will possess a high level of integrity and strong sense of ethics; excellent communication skills; demonstrated leadership skills, sound judgment, and a positive attitude; ability to effectively supervise and build consensus among staff, and to motivate staff and support their professional development.
Minimum Qualifications: Either, two years of experience as an Equipment Operator Foreman, Traffic Foreman or equivalent class with San Joaquin County; or four years of experience as an Equipment Operator II with San Joaquin County; or
Four years of experience in the construction or maintenance of highways, streets, bridges, channels, or traffic devices, including two years in a lead or supervisory capacity; and Possession of a valid California driver’s license.
