Since 2014, the Maintenance Superintendents Association has recognized outstanding vendor members with the “Stellar Vendor” Award. This honor is bestowed on one vendor each year, for above and beyond dedication to the organization.
At the May Executive Board meeting, each candidate, which are nominated by their home chapter, are evaluated. EBoard members vote based on the qualifications of each nominee.
During the “Taste of MSA” Vendor Hospitality event, held on Wednesday evening at the 2018 Conference, MSA President, Xavier Mendez, introduced all three nominees; Hether Flores, from Emergency Service Restoration, nominated by the LA/Orange Chapter. Michele Burt, Powerland Equipment, who was nominated by the San Diego Chapter and Bryan Darling, Crafco Inc., and the Arizona Chapter nominee.
All three Vendors represent the importance and dedication of vendor members to the Association. With a bit of fanfare, Xavier opened the envelope and called the 2018 Stellar Vendor Award winner forward. Congratulations to Bryan Darling!
Bryan has worked for Crafco since 2000. He got involved with the MSA after just three days on the job. He served on the Arizona Chapter board for twelve years, as the Vendor Representative. Bryan hosted and helped coordinate the chapter’s annual golf tournament for ten years. He also did the same for the annual Vendor Appreciation Equipment Show, from 2003-12. In 2004 he served as the Co-Chairman of the annual MSA Conference & Equipment Show.
The Arizona Chapter, along with the entire Association, are thankful for Bryan’s involvement and dedication and are proud to have named him the 2018 Stellar Vendor.
