    THE POSITION

    The Human Resources Department is accepting applications for the Regular and Full-time position of Street Maintenance Supervisor in the Public Works Department.  The normal work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 –5 pm; a flex schedule may be available.

    The City of Roseville promotes a no smoking atmosphere.

    DEFINITION

    To plan, organize, direct and supervise street maintenance, street repair, and related street construction operations within the Public Works Department; and to perform a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.

    EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING

    Experience:

    Three years of increasingly responsible experience in or inspection of streets and road reconstruction and maintenance work, including one year of lead responsibility.

    Training:

    Equivalent to completion of the twelfth (12th) grade, GED, or higher level degree, supplemented by specialized training in construction technology and college course work in road maintenance and traffic engineering.

    License or Certificate:

    Possession of a valid California driver’s license by date of appointmentPossession of an International Municipal Signal Association (I.M.S.A.) Work Zone Safety Temporary Traffic Control Technician Certificate is required within one year appointment.Possession of an International Municipal Signal Association (I.M.S.A) Level I Sign & Pavement Marking Technician Certificate is required within one year appointment.
