MSA Education Director (Non-Profit) Independent Contractor

Position Type: Part-Time (Approx. 30 hours/month) Monday through Friday
Overview
The Education Director is responsible for leading the development and delivery of educational programs for members and public works professionals. This role ensures the highest standards in curriculum, certification, and instructor management, supporting the organization’s mission and growth. Administrative Assistant assigned to work with the Education Director. This is a “work from home” position.
Benefits
Travel expenses paid for Executive Board meetings held 3 times per year.
Per Diem
Monthly salary is $1500.00.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and oversee educational classes and curriculum.
Manage certificate programs, ensuring all requirements are met.
Recruit, train, and evaluate instructors to support program excellence.
Identify and address areas for staff development.
Administer instructor invoicing and submitting to the Executive Board promptly.
Track student registration, payments, and progress.
Maintain comprehensive records and historical data for all courses.
Prepare and present official certificates for Public Works Technician and Specialist.
Procure necessary materials for educational programs.
Qualifications
Minimum five years of active membership or spouse of active member with the Maintenance Superintendents Association.
3–5 years of leadership and/or administration experience.
Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
Strong ethical standards, tact, and diplomacy in professional interactions.
